Arts + culture contributed nearly $3.3 billion to New Hampshire's economy

The numbers are out! According to the federal Bureau of Economic Analysis, arts and culture contributed nearly $3.3 billion to New Hampshire's economy in 2021. This is up from $2.9 billion in 2020.

Specifically, arts and culture are 3.3% of the state's Gross State Product (GSP) and contribute more to the state's economy than construction ($2,971,300,000), education services ($2,195,700,000), utilities ($1,476,300,000) and more. We're even bigger than the state's outdoor recreation economy ($2,663,745), which was 2.7% of the state's GSP in 2021.
